Most of the admin in a small business is small. Log the hours from this morning. Invoice the client for last month. Check who still owes you money. Each one takes a minute, but each one means opening another app.

Looped now has an MCP server, so you can do that work from ChatGPT or Claude instead. Ask in plain language and the assistant calls Looped for you.

Official plugins for both are coming soon. Until then, you can add the server yourself. It takes about two minutes.

What you can do

Once connected, your assistant works with the same data you see in Looped:

  • Track: log time, start from a todo, list what you worked on this week.
  • Invoices: create an invoice from unbilled time, send it, mark it paid.
  • Financials: import a bank statement, review lines, pull an income statement or trial balance.
  • Manage: look up clients, projects and team members.

Some things to try:

Log 2 hours on the Acme website project for today: "homepage review".

Create an invoice for Acme from all unbilled time in September and show me a draft.

Which clients have invoices more than 30 days overdue?

The assistant acts as you, with your permissions. It can only see the companies you belong to. It will ask before anything destructive, like deleting an invoice.

The server address

Both apps need one value:

https://api.looped.sh/mcp

You sign in with your normal Looped account. There is no API key to copy.

Claude

Custom connectors work on Claude's Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. On Team and Enterprise, an owner may need to add the connector for the organisation first.

  1. Open claude.ai and go to Settings → Connectors.
  2. Click Add custom connector.
  3. Name it Looped and paste https://api.looped.sh/mcp as the URL. Click Add.
  4. Click Connect. A Looped sign-in window opens. Sign in and approve access.
  5. In a new chat, open the tools menu and check that Looped is switched on.

The connector syncs to the Claude desktop and mobile apps. If you use Claude Code, one command does the same thing:

bash
claude mcp add --transport http looped https://api.looped.sh/mcp

Then run /mcp inside Claude Code to sign in.

ChatGPT

ChatGPT supports custom MCP servers through developer mode, available on Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise plans.

  1. Open chatgpt.com and go to Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings.
  2. Turn on Developer mode.
  3. Back in Apps & Connectors, click Create.
  4. Name it Looped, paste https://api.looped.sh/mcp as the MCP server URL and choose OAuth for authentication.
  5. Tick the box confirming you trust the app, then click Create. Sign in to Looped and approve access.
  6. In a new chat, click +, choose Developer mode and enable Looped.

ChatGPT shows a confirmation before any tool that changes data. Read it, then approve.

Tips

  • Name the company. If you belong to more than one company in Looped, say which one: "In Looped Automation, list unpaid bills."
  • Ask for a draft first. For invoices and journal entries, ask to see a draft before anything is issued or posted.
  • Disconnect any time. Remove the connector in ChatGPT or Claude settings to revoke access.

What's next

We're packaging Looped as plugins for ChatGPT and Claude, so setup becomes one click with no URL to paste. We'll post here when they ship.

If something doesn't work, or you'd like the assistant to do something it can't yet, email us at hello@looped.sh.
