Free, open-source voice transcription for macOS. Whisper models run on your Mac, so nothing leaves the machine. It lives in the menu bar, listens while you hold a hotkey, and pastes the text wherever you're typing.

Cleanup
Speech comes out as writing.
Turn on cleanup and the transcript goes through a model on its way to the clipboard — punctuation, typos and false starts fixed, in a prompt you can edit yourself. If the call fails or times out, you get the raw transcript instead.
- Anthropic by default, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint
- Your API key is stored in the macOS Keychain
- The rewrite prompt is a template you can change

Bring your own model
Pick anything from tiny to large-v3. Downloaded once, cached, and swapped from the menu bar.
Global hotkeys
Push-to-talk while held, or toggle to start and stop. The fn or Globe key works too — hold to talk, or double-tap to toggle.
Realtime mode
Live captions as you speak, for when you want to watch the words arrive.
Vocabulary
Bias recognition towards your names, jargon and identifiers so they come out spelled right.
Out of the way
A menu-bar agent with no Dock icon, launched at login. The transcript is copied to the clipboard and pasted at your cursor.
